根據模型飛機操縱形式的不同通常分為四大類：

F1B橡筋動力模型滑翔機

以操縱者為軸心，內燃機發(fā)動機或電動機做動力，通過操縱線控制飛機的升降舵操縱與控制，在一個圓形的空間內飛行。以飛行圈數和短時間者為勝；

F2C線操縱小組競速模型飛機

由三架模型飛機同時上場飛行，飛完規(guī)定的圈數后，以總飛行速度確定成績；
